RSR Chassis 0915 was delivered new to US privateer Dr. Dave Helmick who had served as the race doctor for the Ford Europe team including at Le Mans '66. Over the next nine IMSA seasons, 0915 competed with the tongue-in-cheek "Ecurie Escargot," Delta Racing and De Narvaez racing.
NINE SEASONS OF PERIOD RACING
Notable results included 4th in her Debut at Mid-Ohio 6 Hours, a win at Hollywood Park, and wins further afield in Ecuador at Circuito Ciudad de Cali, GP Republica Ecuador, and GP Los Lagos.
THE REFERENCE POINT RSR
In 2010, 0915 began an exquisite restoration to original factory specification with specialist Ingo Stimming including an engine rebuild with Manfred Rugen. After four years of meticulous work, 0915 was tested and photographed at Porsche's Leipzig test track and is now the reference point car.
