Kingsley have long been known for producing special re-engineered Classic Range Rover models, with traditional styling blended to modern or at the very least upgraded running gear.

They have now applied their expertise to the evergreen classic Defender model and from a starting price of about £140k you can have a newly rebuilt model with improvements in performance, comfort, modern HVACS and in-car entertainement. Although retromod derivatives of the Defender are nothing new - the attention to detail and scope of modification offered by Kingsley are pretty special.

The launch model with a "bikini" top is currently being exhibited at Salon Prive and features a 4.2 V8 mated to a 5 speed manual, teak rear bed, Apple Car play, active dampers, proper brakes - so it will probably some way from a typical Defender driving "experience"...

Anyway, Racecar was asked to build a site for the launch of the range and develop a configurator which showcases the vast amount of options which can be customised during a build. It is certainly one of the most comprehensive configurators we have built and presents the prospective customer with a huge range of options.
