Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Figoni wins Villa d’Este Best Of Show

THE FIRST EVER PRESERVATION CAR TO WIN BEST OF SHOW - AMONGST THE GREATEST CARS WE HAVE EVER SOLD

It was an emotional weekend for us at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza as the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Figoni Short Chassis Spider was awarded Best of Show - the first ever preservation car to do so.

FROM ONE YOUNG CUSTODIAN TO THE NEXT
The only short chassis Figoni spider ever produced, this 8C had four years of light competition in France and Austria before finding her resting place of 77 years with a young 21-year-old naval graduate. Rediscovered by experts in 2014 still with her then 98-year-old owner, through Fiskens she now joins her next owner, also in his 20s, who will cherish and protect her for another lifetime!

A ONE-OFF, INCOMPARABLY PRESERVED
An incomparably special and unmolested example of one of the best cars ever created, the Figoni has been a personal favourite of every single one of the team members here at Fiskens and after a record-breaking Best of Show nomination at Pebble Beach last year, we are so proud she has been given the ultimate accolade she deserves.

OUR UTMOST HONOUR TO SHOWCASE
It has been our utmost privilege to have the Figoni here with us at Fiskens, to research and tell her inspiring story, and to find the best possible custodians who will treasure, preserve and most importantly share her with the world!
