Absolute Racing will field no fewer than nine cars in the 70th edition of the Macau Grand Prix, divided into two races over two weekends.
This year marks the return of FIA racing to the streets of Macau for the first time since 2019 and, consequently, the first edition of the FIA GT World Cup in four years. This year's edition of the FIA GT World Cup will feature a grid of 21 GT3 cars, including five cars run by Absolute Racing.
After a strong campaign in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia by AWS, Absolute Racing will bring two Porsche 911 GT3 R (Type 992) cars to the world-famous event with two Porsche Drivers which were crucial to the 911 championship campaign.
Matteo Cairoli will compete in the #120 machine, while former Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Alessio Picariello will be in the Absolute Racing-run Team Luanzhou International Circuit car. Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific and Absolute Racing have consistently competed together in almost every running of the Macau GT race since 2018, including the most recent FIA GT World Cup in 2019.
In the Audi side of the garage, Audi Sport Asia Team Absolute will run two cars for star driver Edoardo Mortara and Christopher Haase. The 36-year-old Swiss driver is considered a Macau specialist, having won at the Guia Circuit an impressive seven times, including four with Absolute Racing. Now back with Absolute and Audi, the Swiss racer will be aiming for yet another Macau triumph. Audi Sport driver Christopher Haase is not new to the team; he drove for Absolute Racing in the Intercontinental GT Challenge outings in Japan and also raced in the Macau Grand Prix in 2018 and 2019 with Audi.
A third Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II will be entered by FAW Audi Racing Team for Audi Sport Asia driver Cheng Fong, who is celebrating his tenth season of racing with Audi.
B-Quik Absolute Racing will be out in full force for the first weekend of the event in the Greater Bay Area GT Cup (GT3) race. Fanatec GT Asia double race winner Andrew Haryanto, and regulars of The Super Series, Henk Kiks and Vincente Floirendo, will make their Circuito da Guia debut at the wheel of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II. A fourth Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II is entered in this race, with the driver to be revealed at a later time.
The 30-minute qualifying session for the Greater Bay Area GT Cup (GT3) race will take place on November 11, with the 8-lap race decider planned for Sunday, November 12.
The FIA GT World Cup will take place from November 16 to 19 with two 30-minute practice sessions followed by a single qualifying session of the same duration. Racing action will be held across two heats, with a 12-lap qualifying race followed by a 16-lap title-deciding main race.
