Matt Black - the new black

As colours come and go in and out of fashion - Lamborghini's seem to be able to break all convention - as the more outrageous colours seem to have little effect on residuals.

Could you imagine a lime green Ferrari 430 - and it's perceived trade value compared to traditional Rosso??!!

Anyway Lamborghini Wycombe - who have one of the most sophisticated paint shops in the UK - get a number of unusual requests - from Enzo's in Ferrari F1 "TV" red, Carrera GT's in yellow to a Gallardo in a colour most closely representing the car's owner's football club.

A tricky one recently was a matt black finish on a Lamborghini Murcielago. Usually this is a bit of a drama as the slightest bit of dust on the paint in the oven will show up - there is no margin for imperfection. Lamborghini Wycombe have the best facilities in house - and recently turned around this matt black Lamborghini Murcielago in a couple of weeks.

The photos do not do justice to the finish - suffice to say the owner of the car is pretty pleased.

The decisions you have to make on paintwork - when the stock colours offered by Lamborghini just don't flick your switch..!
