Drifting

Went out for a play yesterday to try and learn to drift. Let's just say that it was helpful that there was plenty of run-off....Ideas that drifting means a bit of opposite lock in second gear around a roundabout or correcting slides on trackdays - were quickly dispelled when mr doricar managed some 110 mph full on 4th gear stuff.

So after watching James - me and my mate patrick decided to have a go in the Racecar E30 BMW 2.7. Let's just say that after about 20 spins - it was apparent that it's gonna take alot of practice to get the hang of this.....

Obviously I found it hard to believe that it was my innate lack of car control that was causing pretty piss poor performances - must be the car(!) - so I got James to take me out in the E30 at the end of the day and he was annoyingly good - mr doricar getting the car 90 mph completely sideways confirmed what we already knew - I need LOTS of practice!! Anyway cracking day out and makes a change driving the car opposed to bloody working on it.

James runs - www.doricar.com - and was with mate matt and they were driving a 250 horse Nissan Cefiro. They were pretty useful - vids below:
