Another BMW - apart from Racecar's own E30 project and the awesome Team Modena E46 WTCC car - will be  featuring a Racecar sticker.

Racecar.com is pleased to offer its support to the Dusiberg Kid's BMW 325i Coupe in this years famous Scumball Rally (www.scumball.co.uk). In its second year, Scumball consists of a few laps of Donington Park, a blast across Europe, and 10 laps of the mighty Nürburgring in August.

Cars entered should be worth no more than £1000, which makes finding the right balance of fun, performance and reliability a challenge. Heading up Scumball, Omar Hempsall says “the idea is to extract as much fun as possible from a once great car, that is now rather past its prime", or as another entrant bluntly put it “taking a car that was once hot in its day, but is a bit sh*t now”.

Accompanying the rally are Rob Hallam and his supporting crew from Men & Motors ensuring that the event gets maximum coverage. Raising funds for charity, many teams sell the advertising space on their cars in return for a charitable donation.

Duisberg Kid is taking a 20 year old BMW 325i Coupe which will bear the name of Racecar.com, amongst an eclectic selection of other supporters including ‘Flashguard’, ‘FAB BMW spares‘, ‘247.com’, ‘Rally-Design’ and (ahem) Pukka Pies. So far Duisberg has raised well over £3000 for the Friends of Chernobyl Children Charity (see www.focc.org.uk), anyone wanting to offer support can reach him at theduisbergkid@easy.com, or check out www.scumball.co.uk for more information.

Richard - aka the Dusiberg Kid is offering very generous coverage package for a minimal sponsor investment on this year's event - which runs from the 16th - 21st August - so email him with an offer of support - anyone who offers support to Richard will get coverage in any PR we run on this years event - and Richard is offering sponsor packages from £25! - so open your wallets and help support the Friends of Chernobyl Children Charity.

We'll run more on this as Richard updates us on his car preparation for this epic event.
