ABERYSTWYTH TO FLEETWOOD  11/07/2009

With sat nav�s up and running we headed off taking a direct line out to Bardsey Island across Cardigan Bay this was a full power run for 34 miles we were at last stretching our legs and moving forwards without problems, we then rounded the headland in some rough water and headed towards Menai Straights we were taking this to try to catch up on our lost time as we have a 3 week window to catch up on, out of the straights and head off towards Fleetwood as the sea state was good we passed the wind farms in the distance to our right and the gas fields to our left but other than that there was not a lot to look at, arriving in Fleetwood we were met again by our land crew Mike and Phill, not sure just how they manage to do it but they always beat us to the stop?

The RNLI station at Fleetwood have kindly said we can use there facility and this was great as a good hot shower was a welcome well needed, next problem was rain and i mean horizontal rain so the chances of pitching a tent were right out the window, so Phill and Mike shot off the find a cheep B and B  all in all a successful day

Tomorrow is a short day we are out of the station on the incoming tide and heading up the Arnside this will be maintenance day as we need to check engine mounts etc. Overnight stay to see Mum and Dad and have dinner with Chrissy and Mike at their great Hotel the Netherwood in Grange over Sands
