Official press release below - the new showroom in Kensington and racecar workshops near Swindon are really quite spectacular - and have really set new standards.

If the numbers come up in the Euro Lottery - they have a couple of cars - like the gorgeous Tipo 33 Alfa that would find a new home outside the Racecar office.

Formula One™ returns to London, as Martin Brundle launches Cars International Kensington

On the evening of Tuesday 30 January, Formula One™ came back to the UK’s capital, as ITV F1’s Martin Brundle officially launched Cars International Kensington – bringing all the colour and glamour of the F1 world to the West End of London. Opening the event, historic racing driver Barrie Baxter drove a 1959 Tec-Mec Maserati 250F down the distinguished Kensington mews street, comparable to the confines of Monte Carlo.

Celebrating the landmark launch, hosts Martin Brundle and fellow motorsport broadcaster Tony Jardine were joined by an array of celebrity guests and famous faces from the world of motorsport. The event co-sponsored by TAG Heuer marked the unveiling of a unique range of F1 cars, which featured alongside a range of classic racing, sports and supercars.

This rare stock includes the Jordan 191, documented by Eddie Jordan to be the first Formula One car that Michael Schumacher ever drove, and the Benetton B191 in which Michael scored his first ever World Championship points. In addition, Cars International showcased at the launch their fully restored and operational Benetton B194 and Ferrari F2002 also driven by the seven-time Formula One World Champion during his illustrious career.

Founders of Cars International, Paul Osborn and Jonathan Kaiser, offer an outstanding range of road and race cars for sale out of their new Kensington location, including a 1951 MkVI Bentley, 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom, Ferrari Enzo and F40, Porsche Carrera GT, 1959 Tec Mec Maserati, McLaren GTR and an ex-works 1953 Le Mans / Mille Miglia Austin-Healey to name just a few.

The newly-formed sister company, Cars International Service, based near Swindon, completes the unique offering of Cars International – as the racecar preparation and restoration arm of the business. Run by business partner Tim Preston - a former Williams F1 engineer who worked with drivers Damon Hill, Jenson Button and Juan Pablo Montoya - the specialised workshop and team of a further two ex-Formula One mechanics have the ability to restore and prepare cars ranging from 1960s GTs to late-model F1 cars.

Paul Osborn, who regularly drives cars from this exceptional stock at events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and with more than 20 years experience of buying and selling cars, explained: “Cars International is a successful company which buys unobtainable cars from around the world. No other car company deals in such rare and important historic road cars and competition cars, ranging from the fifties to the present day. Our aim is to offer a new level of service and performance for customers with a passion for racing, F1, sports and supercars.”
